Word of welcome from the pastor
Welcome to the website of our Church called the Czech Baptist Union in Brno!
We would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are a Christian church, a community of people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are convinced that God cares about all of us and that we can have a living relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
We meet on Sundays for lively worship services for adults and children, as well as during the week for Bible study. We offer a variety of activities for children, youth, and adults.
We would also like to share how we came to know God and how everyone can come to know Him. We would be delighted if you checked us out on our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel, and found the courage to visit us in person. You can find us in Brno, at Smetanova Street 20.

Where can you find us?
Our place of worship is located in Brno – Veveří, at Smetanova Street No. 20. Antonínská tram stop (tram No. 1).
Can I bring my children?
There are many families with children in our community. Children are with adults during the beginning of the service, when we sing and pray to God together. This is followed by a short address to the children (“a few words”), after which the children go to “Sunday school.” We have four groups of children divided by age, each with its own program in the basement rooms.
For parents with the youngest children, there is a room where they can see into the hall through a glass wall and hear the sermon. There is also a room equipped for changing babies.
What should I wear?
For us, what matters most is what goes on inside us, in our hearts. We want to listen to God’s word as it speaks to us. External things, such as clothing, are not essential. At our gatherings, you will meet people who come in jeans and T-shirts, as well as those who wear suits and ties. Most people are somewhere in between.
Nevertheless, we want no one to draw unnecessary attention to themselves with their style of dress and appearance. We believe that what a person wears should not disturb others and distract them from worshipping God. We want to focus our attention on Jesus Christ.
How can I get involved?
You can participate in the ministry of our community through prayer, various groups, or financially.
